Ajenay Drummond
Director of Compliance
Ajenay Drummond serves as Director of Compliance at EMS|MC, where she leads regulatory strategy, audit readiness initiatives, and compliance program development for EMS and mobile healthcare providers nationwide.
Ajenay brings nearly two decades of experience in EMS operations, revenue cycle management, and regulatory oversight. She began her career with EMS Management & Consultants, Inc. in 2007, where she served as Revenue Cycle Manager for more than a decade. In that role, she developed deep expertise in billing operations, reimbursement optimization, documentation standards, and financial performance improvement for EMS agencies.
In 2021, Ajenay served as a Compliance Analyst before advancing to Director of Compliance. Her work focuses on helping agencies strengthen internal controls, improve documentation defensibility, mitigate audit risk, and build sustainable compliance programs that protect revenue.
Ajenay is recognized for her practical, systems-based approach to compliance — ensuring that policies are not only written correctly, but implemented effectively across operations, billing, and leadership teams.
Eric McClain
Director of Continuous Improvement
Eric has worked in the healthcare field for 19 years in both clinical and administrative leadership roles, with a strong focus on compliance, quality assurance, and operational improvement within the EMS and revenue cycle environment. As Director of Continuous Improvement at EMS|MC, he leads internal quality and audit initiatives designed to strengthen performance, reduce risk, and promote a culture of accuracy and accountability across the organization.
Eric oversees internal audits and manages responses to external payer reviews, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance audits. He partners closely with EMS agencies nationwide to deliver both onsite and virtual documentation training, helping field crews and leadership teams strengthen documentation practices that support cleaner claims, improve accuracy, and drive more favorable audit outcomes. He also serves as a resource for complex appeals, including cases escalated to the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) level.
In addition, Eric assists in the development and delivery of internal training programs, refresher courses, and knowledge-based assessments to ensure EMS|MC team members remain current on regulatory requirements and industry best practices. His approach emphasizes practical education, continuous improvement, and collaboration to support both employee growth and client success.
